BRIEF HISTORY (THE TRUTH BEHIND THEEXISTENCE OF THE GUARDIANS BROTHERHOOD INCORPORATED)

DIABLO SQUAD ERA

The root of the GBI is traced from the existence of the DIABLO SQUAD sometime on the early part of 1976. The then C1C Leborio Jangao Jr. PC with Pseudonym “ABRAHAM” created the Diablo Squad with pioneering membership of eleven (11) Philippine Constabulary Men, AFP under his command as Detachment Commander of Kidama Detachment, located at Parang, Maguindanao. The rationale behind its existence was for Camaraderieship or the virtues of “Walang Iwanan” particularly during the enemy encounters. He conferred himself the title as GODFATHER (GF). Sometime on the middle part of 1976 the PC elements manning the Kidama Detachment were all relieved and was replaced by another group of PC elements under the command of the then 2 LT Gil K. Taojo Jr. . . The said PC elements under C1C Leborio Jangao Jr. were transferred to different Provincial PC Commands in Mindanao. Hence, from the middle part of 1976 up to 1979 practically there was no visible recruitment and expansion to membership of the Diablo Squad because its pioneering members were no where to be found.

Early part of the year 1979 the then C1C Leborio Jangao Jr. PC and the then 1LT Gil K. Taojo Jr. PC met at Iligan City whereby the former was assigned with the Lanao Norte Provincial PC Command and the latter was assigned with the Intelligence Unit (Regional Security Unit) as the Officer In Charge covering Lanao Norte and Lanao Sur areas and the cities of Iligan and Marawi.

Sometime on the middle part of 1979 C1C Jangao proposed to 1Lt Taojo to reactive the DIABLO SQUAD under the latter’s over all leadership because C1C Jangao had professed that he could not sustained the pressures from the higher Military Command but had professed having great trust and confidence as to the leadership of 1LT Taojo, they being classmates during their PC Basic Training Course, regular Force, AFP. Then 1LT Taojo told C1C Jangao that a Constitution &By-Laws of the Organization must be made. Then they (Taojo & Jangao) agreed. C1C Leborio M. Jangao Jr. relinquished his over all authority as over all Leader of theDIABLO SQUAD to 1LT Gil K. TaojoJr. And the latter was conferred the title as Supreme Godfather (SGF) with pseudonym “LAPULAPU”. Immediately thereafter 1LT Taojo drafted the original Constitution and By Laws of the DIABLO SQUAD which resulted to a lightning expansion of the said Organization throughout the Philippines.

GF Abraham Jangao then proposed for the creation of the Dirty Dozen as replacement for the no where to be found pioneering members of the Diablo Squad. As time went by almost all members of the Dirty Dozen were disgusted/disappointed over GF Abraham Jangao’s misdeeds against the Organization.

Sour relationship existed. Due to the adverse relationship with the Dirty Dozen, as graceful exit over a shameful situation, GF Abraham Jangao relive the pioneering members of the Diablo Squad and bringing them one after another in his visits to different places of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. But the fact remains that the said pioneering members did not have any participation in the expansion of the DIABLO SQUAD and GUARDIANS Organizations particularly during the 1980’s and 1990’s.

1Lt Taojo was the first Commissioned Officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who joined and led the DIABLO SQUAD Organization. LAPULAPU and ABRAHAM recruited the then P/LT Lilia C. Buala INP with Pseudonym “AMAZONA” and was conferred the title Godmother (GM) and CAPT Anastacio Labitad PA with Pseudonym “PATTON” and was conferred the Title as Godfather (GF). P/LT Buala INP was the Second Officer who joined the Diablo Squad and CAPT Labitad PA was the Third Officer who joined with the said Organization. During this era, wherein the four (4) Pioneering Members of the Magic Group were officially recognized namely: Fiscal Lagcao, Atty Palangan, Atty Albulario and Atty Mencias. Then followed by numerous civilian members coming from all walks of life in our society.

DIABLO SQUADS the CRIME BUSTER ERA

Sometime on the latter part of 1980 the DIABLO SQUAD (DS) was renamed into DIABLO SQUADS the CRIME BUSTER (DSCB). General Olano requested 1LT Taojo to change the name of the Diablo Squad. 1LT Taojo called an assembly for that purpose but the decision of the assembly was to renamed it into Diablo Squads the Crime Buster (DSCB). So it was unanimously carried.

Sometime on the early part of 1981 the 1st National assembly of the DSCB was held at Iligan Institute of Technology (IIT) wherein LAPULAPU was conferred the title as Founder Supreme Godfather (FSGF), PATTON was conferred the title as Supreme Godfather Consultant (SGFC) and ABRAHAM was conferred the title as Founder Godfather (FGF).

Sometime on the latter part of 1984 the Higher Command of the AFP disbanded the DIABLO SQUADS the CRIME BUSTER (DSCB).Immediately thereafter the Higher Hierarchy of the DSCB decided to create the GUARDIANS BROTHERHOOD INCORPORATED (GBI). CAPT Taojo and SGT Jangao worked out for the preparation of the Constitution and By-Laws of the GBI for registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). LAPULAPU facilitated the final preparation of the Constitution and By Laws of the GBI and left it to ABRAHAM for registration with the SEC. LAPULAPU even left an appropriate sum of money to ABRAHAM for the payment of its registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission. By God’s will the GUARDIANS BROTHERHOOD INCORPORATED (GBI) was duly registered with the SEC on December 10, 1984 with SEC Registration Number 123899.

GUARDIANS ERA

All members of the disbanded DSCB were automatically absorbed with the Guardians Brotherhood Incorporated. It is within this era wherein the unprecedented expansion of membership both coming from the rank and file of the AFP and INP and civilians coming from all walks of life had been successfully gained/recorded. It is also within this era wherein numerous GUARDIANS FACTIONS emerged but they existed using or duplicating the Doctrines, Customs and Traditions of the original Guardians Brotherhood Incorporated (GBI) with SEC Reg. No. 123899 dated December 10, 1984. Leaders of some other GUARDIANS FACTIONS were just part of the evolution of the original GUARDIANS BROTHERHOOD INCORPORATED (GBI).

It is also within this era wherein ABRAHAM JANGAO promoted himself (Self Proclaim) as Master Founder. Meaning to say that his promotion to Master Founder. Meaning to say that his promotion to Master Founder of the GBI was without the benefit of the decision of a general Assembly of membership. Abraham Jangao is not an Incorporator of the Guardians Brotherhood Incorporated with SEC Registration Number 123899 registered on December 10, 1984. He did playing safe at that time of intense persecution against the Organization while Lapulapu Taojo sacrificed his Military Rank and the future of his family by voluntary resigning from the military services to continue his crusade with the DSCB then to GBI by utilizing his constitutional rights. He being in the inactive status of his military career, can no longer be subjected under the articles of war. Abraham Jangao even erased his marked/tattoo of Diablo Squad on his right shoulder during the said time of persecution against the organization.

Sometime on May 26, 2002, the GBI had conducted its “MINDANAO FOUNDER’S SUMMIT” held at Maguindanao Hotel, Davao City. In this memorable occasion wherein FSGF LAPULAPU and SGFC PATTON were conferred the title as MASTER FOUNDERS of the GBI as well as SGM AMAZONA was conferred the title as Founder Supreme Godmother (FSGM).

Sometime onApril 5, 2003 the GBI held its 2nd National Convention at Elena Tower, Iligan City. In this momentous event, the promotion to Master Founder of MF LAPULAPU, MF PATTON and MF AMAZONA were confirmed. In this very occasion also MF ABRAHAM was officially ousted from the GBI National Triumvirate and was replaced by MF AMAZON. Sometime on the latter part of the year 2005 MF AMAZONA was replaced by Alberto “MF PATTON” Tinoy in the Hierarchy of the GBI National Triumvirate and in the Guardians House of Doctrines.

At present the GBI had been consolidated and strengthened throughout the Philippines through its conceptualized Federalization Process by allowing every GBI Regional Chapter to register with the SEC in order to acquire juridical personality. This scheme is geared towards the granting of more autonomy to every GBI Regional Chapter.

The foregoing facts are the very truth behind the existence of the GBI tracing back its very root of existence from the DIABLO SQUAD and DIABLO SQUADS the CRIME BUSTER. The word DIABLO SQUAD and DIABLO SQUADS the CRIME BUSTER. The word DIABLO is just an acronym as stipulated hereunder:

D - represents the word “DAUNTLESS”
I - represents the word “INGENUOUS”
A - represents the word “ADVOCATOR”
B - represents the word “BANNER”
L - represents the word “LIBERTY”
O - represents the word “ONENESS”

Which means in tagalong version “Mga Matatapang at Matapat na Tagapagtanggol ng Watawat ng Pilipinas, Kalayaan at Pagkakaisa ng Lahing Pilipino”.

The GBI implore the aid and blessing of the Almighty God. Jesus Christ had said that I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THELIFE. NO ONE CAN COME TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME (JOHN 14:6).

Jesus Christ had said further that “THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE”.
